    Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians:


    To our returning students – welcome back! To our new students – welcome! All of us here at Vallejo Independent Study Academy are humbled and excited that you have chosen our school. We are going to have an amazing year!


    All students and their parents/guardians are requested to attend our Fall Orientation on Wednesday, August 14th. You can chose one of three sessions: morning (8:30-10:00), midday (11:30-1:00), and afternoon (1:30-3:00). Please indicate your preference by completing a short form at or by contacting our office manager, Amy Townsend at (707) 649-3950.


    The following three documents are included with this letter: 


    • Fall Master Agreement – please keep this copy for your reference, students and parents/guardians will sign the agreement in person on August 14th. 

    • Emergency Card – parents/guardians, please complete and sign this document at home and bring with you on August 14th. 

    • Technology Use Agreement – students and parents/guardians, please complete and sign this document at home and bring with you on August 14th.

    During your orientation, you will meet your teachers, receive your computer and textbooks (if needed), learn (or practice) how to log-in to Odysseyware, and sign your Fall Master Agreement. 

    Independent Study students will also schedule their first 1:1 meeting with their teacher. All students, both Independent Study and Innovation, will be able to access their first assignments in Odesseyware the following Monday, August 19th.
